TRUMP ALLY CHARGED

THOMAS Barrack, one of former US president Donald Trump’s top fundraisers was arrested and charged this week for not disclosing his lobbying on behalf of a foreign government. A New York federal court indictment accuses three suspects, including Barrack, 74, of failing to register as agents of the United Arab Emirates as they attempted to influence Trump on foreign policy during the presidential campaign. Barrack was chairman of Trump’s 2017 inaugural committee. | AFP
